Mental Health
At Mind Body Skin Institute, we understand that mental health is just as important as physical health. Life can bring challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, grief, relationship difficulties, or major life transitions, and our mental wellbeing can impact our physical health.
As your GP, Dr Nicole Chater provides compassionate, confidential, and evidence-based care in a supportive, non-judgemental environment. Longer appointment times allow the opportunity to explore your concerns, understand the factors affecting your mental health, and work together to develop an individualised management plan.
We can assist with:
Anxiety and panic disorders
Depression and low mood
Stress and burnout
Workplace stress
Grief and adjustment disorders
Relationship and family concerns
Sleep difficulties
Women's mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum and perimenopause
Men’s mental health
Addiction medicine
ADHD assessment pathways (where appropriate)
Mental health concerns associated with chronic medical conditions
Your care may include lifestyle strategies, psychological therapies, medication where appropriate, and referral to trusted psychologists, psychiatrists or other allied health professionals.
A Holistic Approach
Mental health is closely linked with physical health. Factors such as hormonal changes, thyroid disorders, nutritional deficiencies, chronic illness, sleep quality and stress can all contribute to psychological symptoms. Where appropriate, we will investigate and address these underlying factors as part of your overall care.
Our goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you feel heard, understood and empowered to achieve better mental wellbeing. If you're struggling, you don't have to manage it alone—we're here to help.
Everyone’s skin tells a story - of genetics, environment, hormones, stress, and time.
At Mind Body Skin Institute, our role is to interpret those signals and design thoughtful, doctor-led treatment plans that address both the surface and the source.
