Dermamelan
Dermamelan® is a professional depigmentation program designed for the management of melasma, hormonal pigmentation and stubborn uneven skin tone.
Unlike a standard facial or superficial peel, Dermamelan® is a structured treatment program that combines an in-clinic treatment with several months of prescribed home care.
What can Dermamelan® treat?
Dermamelan® may be suitable for:
Melasma and hormonal pigmentation
Persistent or recurrent facial pigmentation
Sun-related pigmentation and uneven skin tone
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
Pigmentation that has not responded adequately to conventional skincare or treatments
How does treatment work?
Treatment begins with a medical consultation and skin assessment to determine the type and likely drivers of your pigmentation and whether Dermamelan® is appropriate for you.
The Dermamelan® mask is professionally applied in clinic and remains on the skin for a prescribed period before being removed at home. This is followed by a structured home-treatment phase lasting several months.
The home phase is an important part of the program. Melasma in particular has a tendency to recur, so treatment focuses on both improving visible pigmentation and establishing an ongoing strategy to help maintain results.
What should I expect?
Redness, dryness, sensitivity and peeling are expected during the early stages of treatment and can vary between patients. Your skincare routine will be adjusted throughout the program to support the skin barrier and minimise irritation.
Improvement occurs progressively rather than overnight. Strict daily sun protection is essential, as UV and visible light exposure can contribute to pigmentation recurrence.
Consultation required. Treatment suitability, response and downtime vary between individuals.
