Frequently Asked Questions

General Clinic Questions

Do I need a consultation before any treatment?

Yes. All new patients require a consultation before any treatment. This allows your doctor to assess your medical history, discuss your goals, and develop a safe, individualised plan. Prescription-only treatments can only be provided following a face-to-face medical consultation.

Are your treatments doctor-led?

Yes. All aesthetic and medical procedures are performed or directly supervised by AHPRA-registered doctors to ensure the highest level of care, safety, and precision.

Can I claim Medicare rebates?

Some medical consultations may be eligible for a Medicare rebate, depending on the nature of the visit. Cosmetic-only procedures are not eligible for rebates.

Do you offer payment plans or memberships?

Yes. We offer structured skin and medical memberships that provide ongoing care, priority booking, and cost savings for patients who wish to maintain consistent treatment and results.

Skin & Aesthetic Treatments

How often should I have laser or microneedling treatments?

For most patients, laser and microneedling are performed every 4–8 weeks initially, then every 2–3 months for maintenance. Your doctor or skin therapist will recommend a schedule based on your skin goals and recovery profile.

Is there downtime after treatment?

Downtime varies by procedure.

  • Mild treatments (such as LED, light peels, or microneedling) may cause mild redness for 24–48 hours.

  • Deeper procedures (such as CO₂ laser resurfacing or TCA peels) may require 1–2 weeks of recovery.
You’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions at your appointment.

Are cosmetic injectables safe?

When performed by experienced, AHPRA-registered practitioners, wrinkle and volumising treatments are safe and effective. Every treatment is medically assessed for suitability, with all products TGA-approved for use in Australia.

How long do results last?

Results vary depending on treatment type and individual biology.

  • Wrinkle treatments typically last 3–4 months.

  • Skin boosters and biostimulators can last 6–18 months.

  • Laser and collagen-stimulating procedures offer long-term benefits when maintained regularly.

Hair Restoration

What causes hair loss?

Hair loss can result from genetics, hormonal imbalance, nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, or stress. Your consultation includes medical history, blood testing, and assessment to identify contributing factors.

How do exosomes help with hair regrowth?

ASCE exosomes contain bioactive molecules that support cellular communication, reduce inflammation, and encourage follicle activity. When combined with microneedling and LED, they help strengthen and reactivate hair follicles.

When will I see results?

Most patients notice improvement in hair density and texture within 3–6 months, with continued results over time as follicle health improves.

Longevity & Medical Consultations

What happens during a Longevity & Anti-Ageing Consultation?

Your doctor will review your health history, current concerns, and lifestyle before arranging blood work and diagnostic testing. Together, you’ll build a personalised plan addressing hormonal balance, metabolic health, and preventive strategies for long-term wellness.

What types of testing might be included?

Testing may include advanced blood panels, body composition analysis, and imaging such as DEXA or vascular scans. These help identify early signs of imbalance or risk before disease develops.

Do you prescribe supplements or medications?

Yes — if clinically appropriate. Any supplementation or prescription therapy will be evidence-based and discussed thoroughly with you during your consultation.

Post-Treatment & Aftercare

How do I care for my skin after a procedure?

You’ll receive detailed, written aftercare guidance following every treatment. In general, we recommend avoiding heat, exercise, and active skincare for 24–48 hours, using gentle cleansers, and applying medical-grade hydration and sun protection.

When can I wear makeup after treatment?

Light mineral makeup can usually be applied after 24–48 hours, once redness or sensitivity subsides. For deeper laser or peel treatments, your doctor will advise when the skin barrier has recovered.

What if I experience a reaction or concern after treatment?

Please contact the clinic directly on (02) 4879 9788. Our medical team provides after-hours support for any post-treatment concerns or complications.

Memberships

What are the benefits of becoming a member?

Memberships provide continuity of care, priority booking, and bundled value for regular patients. They are designed to encourage consistency — the key to long-term results in both skin and health.

Can I pause or cancel a membership?

Yes. Memberships may be paused for travel or medical reasons with prior notice. Minimum term requirements apply depending on the program type.

Can I switch between memberships?

Absolutely. You can upgrade or change memberships at any time following review with your doctor or our patient coordinator.
